*** ANOTHER TRACK FROM THE LOST DEMO TAPE***

THE LITTLE MAN words & music by: Dom Franco (c.) 1975
Bethlehem performed this song many times in concert
During the first few years of the group, When Randy Rigby
joined the band in 1976 he played the Fender Rhodes Piano
on the song. and worked out harmony parts with the Pedal Steel.

lyrics

The Little Man was too short to see among the gathering crowd.
The little man climbed into a tree that stood beside the road,
And as Jesus passed He looked up at him, and said;
"Come down from that tree little man"
" For today I'll be a guest within your home"

The Little man climbed down from that tree as quickly as he could.
So filled with joy, he rushed over to the place where Jesus stood.
And he welcomed Him to come into his home
But the crowd disapproved and they grumbled:
"He has gone into the home of a sinner"

The Little man stood before the Lord and said: "I'll change my ways
I'm very rich, I made much money in my tax collecting days,
Half of all I own will I give to the poor, And what I've cheated
I'll return times four, for today the Lord's a guest within my home"

And then Jesus smiled, and said unto the man:
"Today salvation Has come into your home:
The Son of Man has come to save that which was lost"
The Son of Man has come to save that which was lost"
The Son of Man has come to save that which was lost"
